Burberry is stepping into a new era. Since  Daniel Lee officially replaced Riccardo Tisci as creative director of the British brand, he has worked to push Burberry under a modern light. With four months of leading the label under his belt, Lee will continue implementing new strategies to propel Burberry onto fresh grounds that challenge its traditional roots.

Japanese designer Issey Miyake has died

Japanese designer Issey Miyake, famed for his pleated style of clothing that never wrinkles and who produced the signature black turtleneck of friend and Apple founder Steve Jobs, has died, media said on Tuesday. He was 84.

Miyake, whose name became a byword for Japan’s economic and fashion prowess in the 1980s, died on August 5 of liver cancer, Kyodo news agency said. No further details were immediately available.
